Develop strategic design recommendations to transform the existing SportChek retail concept into an optimal ideal model, while elevating the overall customer experience.

We engaged in a highly collaborative process with department and category leads to reimagine the SportChek retail concept. Each area of the store was thoughtfully designed and effectively highlighted to create a cohesive and dynamic retail space reflecting the unique strengths of each category while elevating the customer experience.

Retail Concept

Our retail concept and communications focused on “Energy” as the core theme - inspiring active living with illumination and intensity. Central to this theme was positioning SportChek as the brand hero, making the iconic check mark a distinctive and ownable element.

The Results

The new retail environment delivers on the vision with a high-energy, immersive experience that draws shoppers into the brand’s world from the moment they enter. Striking architectural elements and the illuminated check-mark feature create a bold visual anchor, while dynamic digital displays and curated product zones guide customers fluidly through the space. Warm, modern finishes balance the athletic energy with approachability. The store reveals a space that invites exploration, energizes purchase decisions, and positions the retailer as a destination for sport and lifestyle inspiration.
